We have finally entered the last stage of the move-in process! We have gotten most of our stuff put away, but we have discovered that we have more junk than we thought. (shocking, I know)
As we unpacked, we threw stuff that got a variation of the following responses into a box:
- We still have that?
- We haven’t used that for forever!
- Why do we have this?
That box turned into our CRAIGSLIST BOX O’ STUFF. We consolidated everything that we were going to get rid of and with only a few exceptions, we listed all of it on the Craigslist Free section. It took a little while to get some bites, but the first person that came over (who had only expressed interest in some of the stuff we had) when offered the rest of our free stuff, said “Sure, why not?” Apparently, he was collecting kitchen and household stuff for his sister who had just had a fire in her home.
This turned into a win-win situation for everyone involved, we got rid of our junk and his sister got stuff to re-furnish her home.
